We are building the marketplace Northern Nigeria's fashion trade deserves — one where a tailor's reputation travels further than their street.
How this started
Northern Nigeria has some of the finest tailoring in West Africa, and almost none of it is findable. A customer asks a cousin, who knows somebody, who knows somebody. A brilliant tailor two streets away is invisible. Money changes hands with no record, and when something goes wrong there is nobody to ask.
Arewa Clothing Solutions was founded to fix the finding and the trust at the same time. Arewa Threads is the marketplace: verified tailors and fabric retailers, measurements you save once, payment held until you have what you ordered, and a real person to appeal to when it goes wrong.
We are Northern Nigerian, and the platform is built for how people here actually shop — on a handset, on patchy data, in Hausa as readily as in English, with a name and a reputation that matter.
What we are for
- To make an independent tailor as easy to buy from as a shop, without asking them to become a shop.
- To keep a customer's money safe until the garment is in their hands, and their measurements theirs alone.
- To keep the trade's value in the trade: vendors set their own prices, keep their own customers, and are paid in full and on time.

Arewa Express
Our delivery arm. Registered riders carrying fabric to tailors and finished garments to customers, paid a fixed share of every fee.
Ado
The native app, coming later. It will run on the same platform as this one, so nothing built here has to be built twice.
What we hold to
The vendor's word wins
A tailor's prices, lead times and descriptions are theirs. We never quietly rewrite them, and where a machine helps translate a listing it never writes over what a vendor typed.
Nobody is paid before the customer is satisfied
Money is held from payment until delivery. That protects the customer, and it is also why a vendor here can be trusted by somebody who has never met them.
Say what is true
If a figure is an estimate we call it one. If a rating comes from three reviews we say three. A marketplace that flatters itself is one nobody can use to make a decision.
Built for this market
Hausa is a first language here, not a translation. Pages work on a slow connection and without JavaScript. Money is naira and kobo, to the kobo.
